Transporting Food for the Upcoming Holidays

Thanksgiving is coming up and we want to make sure that there aren't any disappointments in your car. The last thing we would want is your food to be spoiled when you may only get to see your friends and extended family only once a year. We would hate to see the turkey that you spent all day cooking get ruined as you navigate to Grandma’s house! Let’s explore several holiday food prep and transportation tips:

We would recommend that you don't transport sauces or liquids that don't have caps on them. There are a lot things that can happen as you are driving that are unpredictable. Place items in a small box lined with towels or old newspaper. Liquids are sensitive to vibration and motion, and when it splashes on your car, it can be hard to get out of your upholstery. It is recommended to wrap lids with plastic wrap, foil, or masking/electrical tape. If you have an extra seat, you can fasten your seatbelt around your food box to keep it secure.

All of us at Fred Beans Kia of Mechanicsburg wish you an easy experience with transporting your food.
