The new Kia Seltos is powered by one of two engines: a 2.0-liter inline-4 or a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4. The base LX trim of the Kia Seltos is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that makes 146 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. This base engine works with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Mechanicsburg drivers that want a bit more power can look to the optional 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine, which provides 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This more powerful engine works with a DCT transmission and comes standard with all-wheel drive. The 2.0-liter inline-4 allows for a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
Technology
When it comes to tech, the new Kia Seltos ensures modern connectedness. The base LX trim of the Kia Seltos comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, USB ports, and a 6-speaker audio system. Tech improves with higher trim levels, with the S trim replacing the standard 8-inch infotainment display with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The EX trim gains wireless phone charging while the SX trim adds a Bose premium audio system.
